In this matter we were instructed by a cyclist who had been involved in a collision with a car. The claimant was overtaking a stationary car on his bicycle, when the driver of the car exited a parking space and commenced a u-turn, colliding with the cyclist.
The claimant suffered a large laceration to his left knee. He was treated at hospital and also for psychological symptoms.
A medical consultant was instructed and following examination a medical report was produced. The client was also examined by a consultant psychiatrist.
The claim for compensation was settled in the sum of £8000.
