Do Cyclists Have Priority Over Cars?

The 2022 Highway Code changes mean cyclists now have priority over cars when passing a turning car. The new hierarchy of road users clearly states that road users that can cause the most damage in a collision have a responsibility over other road users to be considerate and reduce the risk of danger. Drivers should not cut across cyclists and should give way when turning at a junction, changing direction, or changing lanes.
