What Happens After A Driver Has Hit Me?

There are a few things that need to happen if a driver hits you while you’re cycling. After the collision, try to remain calm and note your location. Then, collect the names, addresses and vehicle registration numbers of drivers involved and any witnesses. Take as many photos of the scene as possible, including images of the road surface, any damage to the bike, damage to other vehicles, skidmarks and debris. Do not attempt to fix any damage until you have reported the collision to the police to receive an incident number and contacted Cycle SOS for a free consultation.
